The Abenab Project is Golden Deeps’ flagship asset, located in the Otavi Mountain Land of northern Namibia, an area known for its rich mineralization of base metals. This project represents a significant opportunity for the production of vanadium, a critical metal used in energy storage and high- strength steel production.Abenab was historically one of the highest-grade vanadium mines in the world, producing high-purity vanadium concentrate along with lead and zinc. The project area still hosts significant quantities of vanadium-rich ore.Golden Deeps is focusing on redeveloping the Abenab Project to take advantage of the demand for vanadium in energy storage technologies, particularly in vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs). The company is conducting exploration work to define additional resources and evaluate the project’s economic potential.Ongoing metallurgical studies are being carried out to optimize the extraction of vanadium, lead, and zinc from the ore, enhancing the project’s potential as a profitable mining operation.
