The project’s phased development approach will allow Ivanhoe Mines to ramp up production and take advantage of favorable market conditions.Ivanhoe Mines is redeveloping Kipushi as a modern underground mine with a focus on zinc production. The project has a very high−grade resource, and Ivanhoe Mines plans to restart production with a focus on supplying zinc to the global market, which is facing a supply deficit.The first production from Kipushi is expected in the near future, with the potential to become one of the world’s largest zinc producers.
